"I photographed my mom at
her home offce. She is an
extremely hard worker and
has accomplished being her
own boss, running multiple
online shops. My favorite
thing to do with her is to go
to the movies or spend time
having dinner and talking. Of
course, I love playing pranks
and scaring her."
Amber Estes
Thieneman's
mom, Marla Estes,
is a librarian.
"I photographed my mom
with her grandson in the
Caverna Elementary School
library in Cave City. She has
always been passionate
about directing, teaching and
encouraging children. She
commissioned an artist to
turn her library into a cave,
complete with a wall-to-wall
mural, stalactites hanging
from the ceiling, old lanterns,
picnic tables and even a
tent!"
Aaron
Kingsbury's mom,
Holly Kingsbury,
works from home
for Humana.
"I mainly wanted to show
her working because she has
always enjoyed being a nurse
and talking and taking care
of people, much like she does
with her family."
Matt Herp's
mom, Terri Waller,
is a realtor.
"I photographed my mother
at Serafni restaurant
in Frankfort. We were
celebrating my stepsister's
swearing-in as a lawyer at
the Capitol earlier that day.
I've always loved my mom's
vibrant, joyful smile."
