"I like watching programs on the History Channel." What flm has had the greatest infuence on your life? "It's a Wonderful Life shows how common people can have an uncommon impact." Best date spot in town? "Waffe House, because it has waffes. My last meal in Louisville would be waffes. Lots of butter and syrup." Last live performance you saw in Louisville? "Earth, Wind and Fire at the Kentucky Center last year. Their album That's the Way of the World is my all-time favorite." Fill in the blank: "__________________ Louisville" should be the next banner on the side of a building. " Invest Over Arrest." Where do you go to be alone? "The park. I can't say which one because I won't be alone anymore." What's something nobody knows about you? "I am one of the best basketball players in Louisville." Last month, one of WHAS-11's weekend morning anchors started a segment with, "Alright, this story might sound hard to believe…." (Wave red fag here!) He went on to report that a Vegas casino allowed Kentucky fans to make online wagers with food stamps. "Apparently the book gathered $9 million in food-stamp wa- gers for last night's UK-U of L game alone," the anchor chirped. Like any respectable journalist he noted the source: Empire Sports. A sampling of other headlines from this site? "Terrell Owens Planning To Get Sex Change Operation." And, oooh!, here's one with local interest: "Honey Boo Boo Cast In Kentucky Locker Room." Get it, guys? It's a fake sports news site. At the end of this fun-with-Kentucky-poverty seg- ment, the anchor refected, "I can't believe that."
