The Renau Foundation Writing Competition The Renau Foundation will award two scholarships worth up to $16,000 each to the *Louisville-area high-school seniors who submit the winning entries. Entry deadline is January 31, 2013 For more information and complete competition rules, visit www.renaufoundation.org www.renaufoundation.org Louisville resident Ken Renau was an occasional contributor to Louisville Magazine, usually writing humorous observational essays for the "End Insight" column. Prior to his death at age 93 in 2008, he established the Renau Foundation. One of its missions is to encourage and reward good writing, particularly among young writers — thus the founding of this annual writing competition, held for the first time in 2010. *Defined as the Louisville MSA, which includes the following 14 counties in Kentucky and Southern Indiana: Kentucky: Bullitt, Henry, Jefferson, Meade, Nelson, Oldham, Shelby, Spencer and Trimble counties; Indiana: Clark, Floyd, Harrison, Scott and Washington counties.
