[The Circuit] PEOPLE s PLACES s THINGS TO DO Stacey Servo New2Lou founder Louisville is cliquish. Tere, I said it. And Stacey Servo noticed the same thing when she moved here in 2007. "It was a weird social environment," the 38-year-old says. "All the locals had their circles, and the transients had ours." So almost three years ago she and her husband, who'd both relocated here from Seattle to invest in real estate, created New2Lou, "a modern-day welcome wagon for newcomers." Lifelong Louisvillians have also been known to attend the second-Wednesday-of-the-month socials (November's will be at Z's Oyster Bar and Steakhouse downtown), and now Servo wants to expand the New2Lou idea to other "tier-two" cities. "My first year here, I scheduled a meeting in Nashville the weekend of Derby," she says. "At the very least, we can keep people from making rookie mistakes like that." — Josh Moss 11.12 LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE [11] Photo by Chris Witzke
