Parks praise
I know you guys have done several
interviews over the past few months
with some of our staff members, and
I guess I wasn't entirely sure what
y'all were working on. But I just read
the piece ("Why We Love Our Parks,"
September) and must say I think
it's one of the best testimonials I've
ever read about the importance of a
thriving parks system. I don't really
know that as a department we could
have conceived of anything better.
I know that may not mean much
coming from a communications guy
for the department, but it's great to
see what our value is to the commu-
nity, illustrated in such a vivid and
detailed way. It is much appreciated.
Next time you have to zing us, we'll
suck it up.
