Prussian Louisville Seeing double Bloom Elementary tweeted this photo of third-grader/Super Kid cover star Avery Hanlon. Marvelous Moffett I very much appreciated senior writer Anne Marshall's skillful account of the particular calling of Tom Moffett ("The Man in the Red Sweater," the October 2016 profile of the 92-year-old activist). From my limited acquaintance with him — from demos and occasional church services or events — Marshall got the positive determination and solid progressive faith that run through him. It must have taken patience and thoughtfulness on her part. A piece like that cannot help but reflect the depth of the author as well as the subject. Chris Iosso Louisville Our crystal ball On Sept. 1 — after Lamar Jackson threw for 286 yards, rushed for 127 and had eight total touchdowns in U of L's 70-14 win over Charlotte (that's a football score!) — we tweeted, "As of 9:45 p.m. on Sept. 1, 2016, Lamar Jackson is your Heisman Trophy winner."
