[ Feedback ] Make that Clifton In an issue that purports to be a city guide, you place Fabulous Finds ("Teir Prices Are Right") in Crescent Hill? It's located right behind Nancy's Bagel Grounds in Clifton. Laurie Duesing Louisville The charm of Old Louisville I just received my copy of Louisville Maga- zine's (June) City Guide. We live in Old Louisville. Your magazine gave an amazing- ly negative view on one of the most beau- tiful, historic neighborhoods in America. We were last featured in Victorian Homes Magazine in December. It was a beautifully done article, and before that we were fea- tured in Southern Living. We also have had lovely articles written in Tis Old House Magazine and Old House Interiors. Old Louisville is a fantastic neighbor- hood and a community that embraces di- versity. We are the kind of place that, once I visited, I kept coming back to and then decided to move here. It is a "happening" place and one that is filled with fun, com- munity-centered events. Your article surprised me, considering that your magazine rents a booth in the St. James Art Show, which takes place in our neighborhood, and that was where I found the magazine and decided to buy a subscription. Eva Wessels Louisville "Your magazine gave an amazingly negative view on one of the most beautiful, historic neighborhoods in America." Better and better I am retired and rewired down on the farm near Harrodsburg, but our last two copies of Louisville Magazine arrived yesterday. Te (May) real estate issue was fabulous, but the (June) City Guide is even better. Left it on the table last night to finish this morning. Didn't know Ollie Burgers were still around. Keep the good stuff coming. Lois Mateus Retired senior vice president, Brown-Forman Harrodsburg, Ky. Laying a golden egg I am a recently retired commercial spe- cialty-cut-flower farmer (Behold Flowers), and as such I would like to take issue with your article "Just Sayin'" in the June issue of Louisville Magazine. Goldenrod (bo- tanical name Solidago) is a great cut flower for bouquet work. It has spectacular color and form and has a very long vase life. It is very unfair that it gets such a bad rap from misinformed people like you. Goldenrod always gets blamed for everyone's allergy problems, but it is not goldenrod that ev- eryone is allergic to, but rather ragweed, which is a very nondescript plant that happens to be blooming the same time as goldenrod and is highly allergenic. Please don't further proliferate this misinforma- tion about goldenrod! Kirby Bachman Depauw, Ind.
