Member Jeremy Lewis is reluctant to say "graffti," but until recently, that's been the majority of their work. "Now in our mid- to late 20s, we're saying, 'Is this really what we want to be doing?' We all have full-time jobs that we love. Do we really want to throw that away?" says Lewis, who is a project manager and in charge of marketing and sales for the Event Company. They've started attracting clients that can offer large spaces for progressive ideas. "Not just your basic Kroger logo on the side of a building," Lewis says. More like this abstract, entwined snakeskin pattern at Medusa Hair Salon on Hubbards Lane — a job that took them 35 hours to complete using a digital projection of their design, pencils, paintbrushes and interior acrylic paint. "We're not going out of our way to vandalize but going out of our way to make the city a better place with beautiful colors on everything," Lewis says. "Subliminally, that can weigh on people without them knowing." — Mary Chellis Austin
