LouVino's WineStation machine is the only
one of its kind in Kentucky. After each pour,
the system replaces oxygen with a neutral
gas that slows down the oxidation process.
The WineStation prevents spilling or over
pouring, keeps bottles fresh for up to 60
days, and allows Greeson-Bramblett to offer
expensive wines by the two-ounce pour
or glass (the red Opus One, for instance, is
$35 for two ounces, $100 for a glass, $395
for a bottle). Wine fights have names such
as Jennifer Lawrence ($10, "well rounded,
bubbly and beautiful") and King Louis XVI
($27, "ft for a king!"). The Muhammad Ali
($14) has wines that "pack a punch" partially
chosen for their names: Sledgehammer
Zinfandel, Shatter Grenache. (The place also
serves beer and bourbon.)
