DIAMOND PUB
AND BILLIARDS
630 Barret Ave.
According to its Facebook pictures, Diamond Pub and Billiards attracts a rowdy
crew now and again. Middle fngers galore. Ah, well. Let the kids salute their
wild nights at this gigantic, two-level, boozy den that triples as a concert venue,
sports pub and pool hall. Diamond's lost and found, located in a deep plastic
bin, refects the venue's diverse offerings: tubes of lipstick rolling around with
endless ChapSticks, a Vincenzo's baseball cap, one gardening glove, a brand-
new Overkill (metal band) T-shirt, a Grim Reaper's scythe (hopefully a remnant
from the Halloween dubstep dance party?) and fnally a crumpled note.
Take it: Let's discuss this
note. Sans punctuation
and written in all-caps,
we're not sure if it's a man,
George Pool, who is picking
up something on Thursday.
Or if there's a swimming
pool ready for George's
home on Thursday. Or
maybe it has something
to do with billiards. Either
way, kudos to Diamond Pub
and Billiards for hanging
on to this important
communication. And we'd
like the swimming pool if it's
still available. We might take
George, but we'd have to
have a beer with him frst.
Leave it: The gardening
glove. Some detective is
probably trying to fnd that
to solve a crime.
