"This work has become an icon of the
collection, both personally and as a
sculpture. What I love the most about it
is that it takes you into the landscape.
The sculpture was made especially for
the house — it is site-specifc — and if
you gaze at it carefully for long peri-
ods of time, words will begin to spell
themselves out to you. Once, while I was
gazing, I found the word 'Blake' and, oh,
how I loved the pure poetic aspects of
that word!"
