LegaL ProfiLes Louisville Magazine 2014 Frank Mascagni, III frank mascagni, iii mascagni LaW OfficE serious, aggressive representation for clients charged with serious criminal offenses 701 West Jefferson Street • Louisville, KY • 40202 • Offce: (502) 583-2831 • Fax: (502) 583-3701 www.superlawyers.com • frankmascagniiii@hotmail.com Frank Mascagni's clients come from many different walks of life but they are all at risk of losing their jobs, their driver's and professional licenses, their freedom and potentially their lives. When the odds and evidence are stacked against clients in criminal cases, they need a competent, zealous, experienced trial lawyer. Frank Mascagni, III was born in Greenville, Mississippi in the late 1940s. After graduating from University of Louisville School of Law in 1976, he served as Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney, prosecuting white collar crimes and career criminals before entering private practice in 1979. Frank devotes the majority of his practice to criminal law defense in state and federal courts, handling a variety of litigation — from DUI jury trials to defense of death penalty cases. Frank was involved with the biggest drug conspiracy case in the Western District of Kentucky following his decision to represent a client described as the leader of the largest cocaine distribution in Louisville's history. He also recently tried two lengthy death penalty cases where he helped his clients avoid the ultimate penalty. What's more, his jury trial closing arguments from 2011 may be viewed on YouTube. After 37 years as a trial lawyer, he remains a passionate and effective litigator.
