Q
SPOTTING
Danielle Dolan, a 32-year-old St. Matthews resident and a coordinator in the advising center at U of L's College of Arts and Sciences, shot this
frozen fence, on Bardstown Road near La Bamba, during the 2009 ice storm. Describing his lawn ornament photo, Patrick Delahanty, a 70-year-
old Catholic priest and Limerick resident, says, "I was walking my dog, Skippy, on Fountain Court in Old Louisville and suddenly my eye caught this
feur-de-lis and its wonderful shadow. A sun-warmed treat on a chilly winter's day." And we found another feur-de-lis shadow, this one on the snowy
sidewalk in front of Margaret's Fine Consignments in Crescent Hill. But now it's March. So get out of here, winter!
(Send us an unexpected feur-de-lis spotting of your own. It just might make a future issue. editorial@loumag.com, subject: feur-de-lis.)
