3.14 LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE 9 9 NEW SPOT Gralehaus The beer crusaders at Holy Grale have expanded their empire due south with the opening of Gralehaus, creating a veritable brewski compound in the Highlands. The Gralehaus has, um, beer but also sandwiches and brownies and breakfasts of sausage and grits that look hearty enough to eat with, um again, beer. The new address on Baxter Avenue in a century-old home is almost as architecturally interesting as the attached-via- beer-garden mother ship (a former printing house and church) that fronts Bardstown Road. Inside is a curious set of stairs that ultimately will lead to … dream come true, cicerones … lodging. Beer, a bed, coffee, breakfast, beer. Repeat. We may never leave. 1001 Baxter Ave., holygralelouisville.com. www.louisvillepublicmedia.com Mon.-Sat. Reservations recommended. 5050 Norton Healthcare Blvd., 327-5058 corbettsrestaurant.com. O. FB. Jeff Ruby's Steakhouse The concept: traditional New York steakhouse meets Las Vegas glamour, with offerings that include lobster, sushi and dry-aged in-house lamb. Our 2012 Fantasy Restau- rant draft selector advised, "Spend the extra money for the bone-in, 'better-aged' beef, and live it up like you're in Vegas." Dinner Mon.-Sat. Reservations highly recom- mended. Dress: Business casual. 325 W. Main St., 584-0102 jeffruby.com. VF. FB. $$$$$.
