or Otis Redding's "I Can't Turn You Loose,"
which the band continues to play today. Now,
though, timeouts are given over to the speedof-light dance moves of the glitzy, swarming
Ladybirds, to T-shirt tossing and video-screen

night, after a long, laborious day at work,
approaching the Yum! Center, with its big
windows and bright lights and crowds moving
in the lobby and up the escalators, is like receiving a B-12 shot in the butt. Instant energy. So

Ladybirds! Bring on the full-court press, Rick!
And bring on the exclamation points!
I'm pumped!
