"Ghost" moves and breathes. Like much of Radtke's work, it is also autobiographical
— literally if not literarily. For example, "Ghost" uses "mesh cubes
sewn to the artist's
body dimensions."
My favorite tool to work with is . . . "scissors. I keep subtracting things until the
least amount of information is left standing."
If I weren't an artist, I'd be . . . "a car mechanic, according to a test I took in high
school back in the day."
My frst piece of art was . . . "in my second-grade class. (We had to) draw a barn
and paint it. When I looked around, everyone else had made a red barn. I had
painted mine chartreuse. For a seven-year-old, it was a good moment."
When you look at my work . . . "think of yourself as a container. A container, by its
nature, divides the universe into that which is inside and all the rest. There is you and
there is all the rest. But the 'you' that is 'contained' is really just part of all the rest."

I get inspired . . . "alone, driving."
