Join the Kentucky Cancer Program for a Night of Disco Lines form early each October along the Ohio River when breast cancer survivors gather for a free celebration hosted by Buckhead Mountain Grill and the Kentucky Cancer Program. In 2012, the 800 some guests enjoyed a fashion show produced by Heather French Henry, Miss America 2000, featuring her collections modeled by breast cancer survivors. This year, the ladies are invited to don their best bell bottom pants and platform shoes for a night of disco on Tuesday, October 8. This annual event marks the kick-off of the Komen Louisville Race for the Cure. The celebration continues on November 15 with Tough Enough to Wear Pink night at the North American Championship Rodeo when fans are encouraged to wear pink and to join WAMZ celebrities Ron and Mel Fisher, a breast cancer survivor. Proceeds support Horses and Hope, a breast cancer initiative of the Kentucky Cancer Program and First Lady Jane Beshear.
