Looking to relocate the Cardinals, Columbus sails to a new land, which will later be named after the conference. The AAC takes on the nickname "Union," participates in a major, um, tournament against the SEC, aka "Confederacy." Dubbed the Brown-Forman Civil War. The phrase "No taxation without representation" inspires AAC ticket sellers to drop suspicious "convenience fee." No major Cardinal victories during this decade or so, nicknamed "the Great Depression." Cardinal Jackie Rupp breaks the AAC's color barrier. Jurich has risen. The AAC hires scientists to research and create a new electrolyte-replenishing sports drink. They call it Bourbonade. After its storied history in the AAC (OK, one season), the University of Louisville (née the Cardinals from the Ziggurat of Louisvilleylon) joins the Atlantic Coast Conference.
