Main St. If one were handicapping the Best of Louisville award for Best Museum, the Frazier History Museum would be Orb. Looking in hindsight at pedigree and past performance, it makes a lot of sense, but it wasn't until the people had spoken that it became the clear favorite. The museum has evolved since opening in 2004 — a fact underscored by a few name changes, having been the "Frazier Historical Arms Museum" and later the "Frazier International History Museum." While the core of the collection and exhibits remains artifacts of a martial nature (firearms, armor and medieval weaponry), recent exhibits have included "Spirits of the Passage: The Story of the Transatlantic Slave Trade" and "Diana — A Celebration." Let's not kid ourselves. "Diana" had a huge hand in winning it for the Frazier. This writer's wife, mother, mother-in-law and four-year-old daughter were among the throngs that waited in long lines to see the Princess of Wales' bridal gown in downtown Louisville. — Tony Singleton Boutique 1.
