These are names of sandwiches at Stevens and Stevens, which is quite possibly the best sandwich shop in town. The "Chee" is for cheese, as in grilled cheese. Now we know where to send Mom when we're sick. Twig and Leaf (1954) 2122 Bardstown Road // 451-8944 The Landmarks Commission designated the Twig and Leaf as a local landmark, which means you'll still be able to grab that late-night bite on Fridays and Saturdays, when the restaurant is open 24 hours. Uptown Cafe (1985) 1624 Bardstown Road // 458-4212 uptownlouisville.com The nice-price Uptown Cafe offers a full range of appetizers and salads, award-winning desserts and, of course, those delicious salmon croquettes.
