I bet you're wearing 2019 glasses right now, reading through the holes in the zero and the nine, riding out last night's Cham- pagne wave with some light reading. After all, it's the first week of the new year. Except it isn't. It's actually, like, day eight of Capricorn. Jan. 1, 2019? That's according to the boring old Gregorian calendar, which is a big heaping mess. Twelve months? Without the same number of days? Some- how related to the Romans? Madness. Lucky for us, we now have the new Devo- nian calendar, currently in year seven, put together by a self-described group of local "refugees from the '60s," the type of folks who celebrate solstices by standing stones in Crescent Hill.
