Our other doctors and nurse practitioners are trained, experienced bariatric professionals. Education: Dr. Weckenbrock is a Kentucky native. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Kentucky College Of Medicine in 1982. He is complemented by other physicians with backgrounds in OB/GYN and Emergency Medicine. Affiliations: Dr. Weckenbrock is affiliated with the Obesity Medicine Association (OMA) and the American Academy of Family Physicians. Program: Dr. Weckenbrock has developed a multifaceted nutrition-based program using the most current, scientifically based evidence for the treatment of obesity. It is based on the four principals of the disease — nutrition, biochemistry, psychology and behavior modification — using education and medication to help patients attain and maintain their goal weights. Our program is individualized by patient with the help of dietitians on staff who are available to every patient at no extra charge.
