Academically, it would be conducting cancer cell independent research with the biomedical engineering department at the University of Kentucky." ORIGINAL SUPER KID, 2012 ALLYSON RICHARDSON 10, fifth grade, Farmer Elementary This summer, Allyson and her fast-pitch softball team finished first at the Babe Ruth Softball 10U World Series and maintained an undefeated record (22 -0). Allyson's .700 batting average was the highest of the tournament, earning her a place on the Babe Ruth 10U Team. What position do you play on your softball team? "I play pitcher or outfield. I like pitching better because I've always wanted to play that since I was little and I started learning at eight years old, and I really liked it. I throw about 50 or 51 miles per hour." What other hobbies do you have? "I like running and I pick up trash outside. I'm a philanthropist. I do safety patrol at school." What are your study habits? "I pretty much just study with my dad at home." What do you want to be when you grow up? "I want to be a teacher or be a professional softball player."
