Craft beers have become the talk
of the town in Louisville and are
skyrocketing in popularity nationwide.
No longer is domestic beer simply
barley and hops – now lemon, pepper,
apples and herbs are finding their
way into the brew. There are 24 craft
breweries in Kentucky, according to
the national Brewers Association,
and these produce 87,156 barrels of
craft beer annually. Nationwide, craft
brewers sold 24 million barrels of beer
in 2015, according to CraftBeer.com, a
network of beer enthusiasts.
So drink up, Louisville! Enjoy a
refreshing libation and support local
businesses at the same time at our
Brewfest on Fri. 9/23 (details at right).
