10 LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE 8.16 LOUISVILLE LIP eyecareinstitue.com Looking for a Top Eye Doctor? Thank you for naming us top eye doctors! (502) 589-1500 www.EyeCareInstitute.com Brennan P. Greene, MD John C. Meyer, MD nanzkra.com F***ed = foiled? I am disturbed and sad that lawyer Holly Houston needs to use the "f***ed" word in her autobiography (appearing with asterisks in June's "21 Questions"). I guess that is part of her mindset and won't change. I just wish she would use her educated vocabulary instead of the slang expression that neither she nor your delightful magazine needs. I don't use that language, nor do my friends. I don't subscribe to magazines that do. My grandchild asked me what "f***ed" meant. What should I tell him? Please share this with her. God bless, Sylvia Combs Lyndon Houston's response: "Tell him, 'What we'll be if Trump wins.'" We'll clap to that In response to our July cover — which made it onto the website Cover Junkie — @ AshleeEats tweeted: Follow the map We read with interest the piece about the recent auction sale of an old Kentucky map ("Off the Map," July). You'll be glad to know that one of those maps is here in Archives and Special Collections at the University of Louisville. We have exhibited it at least once a year since Louisville collector Louis Cohen gave it to us in 2008, and it is always available in our research room. Later this year, however, we will be sending the map to Philadelphia for conservation. We'll let you know when it's back home next spring. Delinda Stephens Buie Curator, Rare Books Thoughts?
