"I've lived in the Highlands for 15 years and thought I had a good idea of what the Bonnycastle area would look like at 4 p.m. on a weekday. But I discovered something unexpected: Instead of a lot of patrons on foot, what is really happening at 4 p.m. is a lot of commuting traffic. I made it my goal to depict the after-school commute while simultaneously showing the eclectic nature of the Highlands."
