LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE 1.16 27 brazeiros.com Ben Hibben "That frst time I walked in, I was signifcantly more shy than I am now. I remember watching Chris (Cprek, former president) solder tiny little components onto something he'd made, and I just remember thinking: I can't believe I'm allowed to hang out with these people. And now I'm vice president." Josh Wilcox "I built a robot for Red Bull called Nex. It was a female robot that shot Red Bull out of itself. This was featured in Millennium Park in Chicago at an art exhibit sponsored by Red Bull." Danielle Blank "Like I said, all this stuff is done by members. People will come and, because I am president, they ask me, 'Oh, can I do this?' If you want it to be done, do it. We call it 'do-ocracy,' sort of some blend of democracy and anarchy, and that's what's very empowering and very fascinating about our collective. So the common language that we share — that we do things, we make things — values the thought process, no matter who you are." Nathan Armentrout "It's a great sounding board when I'm stuck with a problem. I lack so much experience with building things to begin with, so when you can talk to other people who have lived life and gotten all those years of experience, you can really learn a lot from how they solve problems. A lot of times I like to take people's ideas and see if I can apply them to something different."
