LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE 8.15 131 eastlouisvilleoralsurgery.com jackfrys.com 1007 Bardstown Road | Louisville, KY 40204 | (502) 452-9244 www.jackfrys.com Thank you for voting us Best Fine Dining. We love you, Louisville! Putting an over-easy egg on everything from biscuits and gravy to burgers. Pun-ny restaurant names we love (to occasionally hate). The new steakhouse moving into the old KT's? It's called Le Moo. "Brussels sprouts are defnitely out. Brussels sprouts have just been murdered. I want to say that fne dining is out, but then you see what Michael Crouch is doing right now at Bistro 1860 (on Mellwood Avenue), and you just have to say, 'Holy shit, man, you are killing it.'" — Eric Morris, chef at Epic Sammich Co. in the Highlands Local packaged food and drinks: Spudz potato chips, Louisville Vegan Jerky Co., almond milk from the Almond Creamery, soda from Copper & Kings brandy distillery, Bourbon Barrel Foods, spicy pickles from Pop's Pepper Patch, chocolate- covered Twinkies from Cellar Door Chocolates, Comfy Cow ice cream at the grocery. "The biggest Louisville food trend at the moment has to be Nashville- style hot chicken. It's popping up on everyone's menus. A couple of local restaurants will be opening soon — one from Michael Crouch of Bistro 1860, another from Tony Palombino of BoomBozz. I hear Ryan Rogers from Feast BBQ is working on a concept as well. And real ice cream is more in these days than froyo" — Allison Myers, whose popular Instagram page is titled Eat Love Louisville Brunch. Everywhere.
