The Norton Cancer Institute Resource Centers ofer support services for cancer patients and families, as well as information on cancer prevention and treatment. Because we know that quality of life is as important as longevity, patients receive personal attention to address physical, emotional and spiritual needs before, during and after cancer treatment. Focus on prevention Kentucky's cancer rates are among the highest in the nation. At Norton Cancer Institute, our goal is to reduce the number of people diagnosed with cancer through prevention and early detection. We can help determine a person's risk for cancer through comprehensive cancer screenings, genetic testing, genetic counseling, assessments and follow-up. Early detection may allow treatment to start before symptoms begin, greatly improving treatment outcomes and survival rates.
