Mercutio Joe Reynard 11, Frederick Law Olmsted Academy North, sixth grade Most Likely To . . . be a nano engineer. Mercutio knows everything. About everything. He's studying chemistry, physics, trigonometry and is very interested in engineering. Why engineering? "Engineering helps solve major problems. Like, some engineers at Purdue right now are trying to fnd a faster way of travel than just standard electricity or gasoline. So they're thinking of making hydrogen fuel tanks. It will take them a very long time to do it." What's your favorite food? "Really hard decision. My favorite food that I can actually cook is called carbonara. It was made during World War II. The soldiers wanted spagheti from the Italian housewives, but the Italians didn't have sauce, so they made carbonara because they had bacon, eggs and cheese. So that's really what's in carbonara." Have any pets? "Yes, I have two cats. One is an American Shorthair. The other is a very special breed called the Bengal. They've been around for about 50 years, but their ancestors are actually Asian leopards. They kept mixing shorthairs with the ofspring of leopards and they kept on doing it until they got the Bengal cat." Is there anything you don't know a lot about? "Astronomy. There's a lot of astronomy that I would like to learn. And physics. I'm just now working on two-dimensional movement. Calculus, don't even know a thing about it." 52 LOUISVILLE MAGAZINE 11.13
