But that seemed to be the case when the media, um, gripped onto the news that the Kentucky High School Athletic Association suggested that opposing teams stop post-game handshakes because such exchanges have led to rumbles. SportsCenter, Good Morning America, The Los Angeles Times, The Atlantic. Many stories used the word "ban" when "recommendation" would have been more accurate. The gist: KHSAA wants more supervision during the handshakes. Troubling, sure. But even worse? An Internet search for "Kentucky handshake" led us to Urban Dictionary and something really dirty.
